Ketchikan Fishing
When visiting Ketchikan, fishing is superb, but it should not be the only thing on your itinerary
Alaska angling adventures are some of the best vacations for outdoorsmen. When planning your excursion, book your accommodations at one of Alaska Sportfishing Expeditions’ Ketchikan fishing lodges. Our fishing packages include lodging, transfers to and from Ketchikan’s airport as well as fishing excursions with excellent rods, reels, bait and tackle. We offer self-guided and guided options for you to try to land a variety of fish, including salmon, cod, halibut, sea bass and red snapper.
If you choose our Ketchikan fishing lodges’ guided saltwater fishing trips, you will be under the direction of an experienced charter boat captain who will provide you excellent chances of landing a good catch by going to some of the best fishing waters. If you choose the self-guided option, you will be the captain of your own charter boat, but our knowledgeable guides will steer you in the right direction before you depart. In addition to our saltwater fishing adventures, we also offer guided freshwater fishing excursions to surrounding lakes and streams for chances to land trout, steelhead, grayling and other types of fish.
While enjoying your Ketchikan fishing adventure at one of ASE’s lodges, do not limit your itinerary to just fishing. Instead, explore Ketchikan itself. The charming community located at the southern end of the Alaskan panhandle is rich in native culture and surrounded by picturesque scenery. You can see native carvers in action at the Saxman Tribal House, see a replica native village, and view numerous displays of native handicrafts and artwork in galleries across town. Do not miss the chance to kayak, canoe, or ride a ferry in the waters surrounding the town to view pristine wilderness as well as marine life such as whales and sea lions.
